Zach Galifianakis is back with a new installment of his web series “Between Two Ferns,” and things are just about as uncomfortable as ever. The special holiday episode of the show welcomes Samuel L. Jackson, Tobey Maguire and Arcade Fire as guests.
Things get off to a rough start when Maguire tries to help Galifianakis out with some basic TV production information, which the host doesn’t really want to hear about. Galifianakis makes jokes about “Die Hard,” “Snakes on a Plane,” “Spider-Man” and “The Cider House Rules” before deciding to instead promote his own film, “The Campaign,” which is out on Blu-ray. Maguire autographs the copy he’s given and hands it back.
Finally, Galifianakis throws the show over to his musical guest, Arcade Fire. As snow starts to fall, they treat the audience to a very bizarre version of “Little Drummer Boy,” which is definitely not like any other performance of the song you’ll ever hear. Maguire leaves early when Galifianakis reveals that the snow is actually asbestos, the most festive of fake holiday snow.

Chris E. Hayner is equal parts nerd, crazy person and coffee. He watches too much TV, knows more about pro wrestling than you do and remembers every single show from the TGIF lineup. You may have seen him as a pro-shark protester in "Sharknado 3." His eventual memoir will be called "You're Wrong, Here's Why..." TV words to live by: "I'm a firm believer that sometimes it's right to do the wrong thing."
