As a fan, was “Big Brother” everything you hoped it would be?
“It was everything I hoped it to be and then some. As a fan of the show, you watch the show, you root for people, but you honestly do not have a clue what you are doing until you are in there and have to make the decisions and have to play the challenges. It was so overwhelming at first. As we went along in the game, I figured things out. I trusted people early that I shouldn’t have trusted and worked with people later that I wanted to work with. Watching it on TV is so much easier than actually doing it. It was such a pleasure, such a dream.”
Who do you mean when you say there were people you shouldn’t have trusted?
“I think it’s pretty obvious. The entire newbie crew week one. We went into the house together, we knew something was up, the Veterans came in, we all said we need to work together. As soon as the Golden Key twist came about, people were panicking and turning on each other. It was a real shame that we did not stick together from the beginning. I’m not going to call anybody out by name. It was tough at first. I thought the six people that were supposed to vote for Keith were voting for Keith, turned out two of them weren’t.”
Do you really think you would’ve won if taken to the finals?
“I would like to think so. I would like to think that the jury members were all people that respected me, they liked me. I know people on that jury wanted me to make big decisions, but that was to benefit them and I think that they realized if I did make those big moves to help them, it may have cost me. That would’ve been my argument to them … I did feel like I had a great shot.”
Who would you have taken, had you won the final HOH?
“This is a great question. Based on the way it is in the house, you run through every scenario in your head, but until you actually have to make the decision you really don’t know what you’re going to do. I was not in the position where I had to make that decision, so instead of figuring out who I would’ve taken, I was trying to figure out how to get one of them to take me. What would I have done? I don’t know.”
Why did you vote for Porsche to win the money?
“Frankly, there was two main reasons. The first one – I really wanted to see a new person win the game. The new person I wanted to win the game was me, but obviously it was not to be. Porsche was the other newbie in the house. Second of all, I lost a little respect for Rachel’s game when we had a talk a couple days before and I made a comment that the Veterans this year all they had to do to get in the house was answer a phone call. Rachel told me everything she gave up to be in the house this summer, making it sound like she gave up just as much as me. I left a girlfriend at home, she went into the house with her fiancee. I had a job where there’s been a lot of layoffs, so I was running a risk of not having a job when I got out. Having an apartment that I was still paying for. I really felt insulted by that and for her to try and tell me she gave up just as much as me made me lose respect for her, especially because I worked with her, I pumped her up when she was down, I had her back. I voted based on my relationship with Porsche. I thought Porsche played a great game. I thought Rachel was not … she was making herself seem like the victim when she was making herself the victim. She would never own up to the fact that she was the victim she made herself out to be.”
Who will you keep in touch with outside the house?
“I will definitely keep in touch with Dominic, we hit it off on a personal level. I really wish that Dominic and I were able to play the game longer together. Honestly, just about everybody. Jeff and Jordan were great friends of mine. I cannot wait to have that relationship grow. Shelly and I hit it off too. Really nobody in the house that I could ever see being enemies with. Some I’ll be friendlier with than others. Definitely Porsche is a close friend of mine.”
Any messages to your fans?
“I would like to say thank you for the support. I did not play the best game in ‘Big Brother’ history, but I did what I had to do to get by and I made it pretty far on my own.”
