big brother 14 pandoras box 'Big Brother 14': Pandora's Box releases a power into the houseThe feeds went down in the “Big Brother 14” house Friday (Aug. 24) for about two hours, during which time Pandora’s Box was brought into play.

In case you missed it, Frank is the new Head of Household. The feeds should prove pretty interesting this week, so sign up now if you haven’t yet.

It sounds like the hamsters had to search the house for quarters to play the claw machine (or some kind of claw machine) in the backyard. Ian won some kind of special Veto power and cannot compete in Saturday’s POV competition. It sounds like he can Veto a nomination, but it’s unclear if he has to do it between first nominations and POV, or if he can do it at any time.

Frank has told Ian and Britney he plans to nominate Dan and Danielle and says that if Ian uses his special power to take either of them off, Britney will be the replacement nominee. Also, Frank won $3000.

Dan/Danielle/Shane do not know that Ian has aligned himself with Frank, so they think they’ll be able to convince Ian to take Dan off the block. We’re not so sure they’ll be able to get him to do that. But Dan is a particularly smooth talker.

If Ian is still with the Quack Pack, then Dan/Dani could go up, Britney or Shane could win POV and use it, Ian could use his Veto to take the other one off and then the entire QP is safe (even if whomever out of Britney or Shane is still on the block, they have the numbers to evict Joe or Jenn, who would be one of the replacements).

The only way it doesn’t work is if Frank nominates Ian, which forces Ian to use the Veto on himself. But Frank doesn’t want to nominate Ian. It’ll be interesting to see.

Meanwhile, Ian is freaking out a little about his behavior during the competition. We don’t know exactly what happened, but he’s saying he acted like a “piece of s***” and that Dan said it was the ugliest thing he’s seen in his two seasons, which are some pretty strong words.

What are your thoughts, hamster fans? We’ll be back later with another post after the nomination ceremony.
