Bill Nye is not exactly the best dancer for “Dancing With the Stars” but he has a huge group of fans on his side. They were in the studio wearing their mad scientist outfits and cheering very loudly for the science guy.

His dance this week was a paso doble with a Beethoven theme and the judges have realized it’s futile to really “critique” his dancing.

“The ferocious and fearsome maestro in an exhilerating mix of genius and insanity. You definitely stepped up a gear, so much so that you nearly blew a gasket. … There was actually some paso doble there,” says Bruno.

“You worked with what you’ve got. You made fun of yourself while you were dancing. It was a weird bizarre masterpiece of insanity,” says Carrie Ann, while Bruno admits that he underscored Nye in week one.

The judges gave Nye and partner Tyne Stecklein 6s and a 5 from Len for a total of 17, which is definitely going to be one of the lowest scores with this talented bunch in Season 17.
