A  relaxed and amiable Billy Bob Thornton appeared on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" this week.

And he was introduced by Kimmel as an actor and musician, much the way he was introduced on a Canadian radio show when he flipped out about his movie career being mentioned.

Kimmel even asked BB after the introduction, "Billy, is it OK I mentioned you're an actor? I don’t want to get off on the wrong foot here."

Thornton laughed and shrugged it off, adding that he had no idea that his Canadian interview would become such a big deal and "give humpback geeks all over the world something to do for a couple of days."

When Kimmel asked how he got started in music, Thornton said he began playing drums back when the Beatles became big.

"So you turned to the TV … and said, 'Ringo, that’s the guy I want to be'? " Kimmel said, teetering on the precipice of creating yet another YouTube video record-breaker.

But Thornton just smiled and laughed off the thinly veiled insult.

Maybe he has become more like his original musical idol than he realizes.

Recently, Ringo Starr shocked his fans by telling them on his blog to stop writing fan letters and that he would not answer any more of them.

What do you think? Are they both ungrateful jerks?
