bristol palin 2 gi Bristol Palin sued by bar heckler Stephen HanksBristol Palin, whose new docu-reality show “Bristol Palin: Life’s a Tripp” is set to launch on Tuesday, June 19, stands accused of defamation by a Hollywood talent manager who tangled with the 21-year-old celebrity in a Sunset Strip bar in September 2011, reports Reuters.

Talent manager Stephen Hanks was hanging out at the Saddle Ranch bar when he noticed Palin there filming her show. In an exchange that was captured on tape, Hanks yells that Palin’s mother — one-time vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin — is “a whore” and “evil.” “Is it because you’re a homosexual?” Palin responds. “Because I can tell you are.”

“I’m glad that Lifetime was there during the Saddle Ranch incident this past summer,” Palin tells Zap2it, “and I’m glad that people will be able to see that side of things, get a little glimpse of what my family goes through.”

Palin later credited the exchange as the deciding factor in her decision to Leave Los Angeles and move back to Alaska. Hanks is claiming that Palin publicly defamed him by blaming him for her relocation and cites a house that she bought in Wasilla in July 2011 as proof of an already planned return.

“Bristol Palin’s conduct was outrageous,” states the lawsuit. “Bristol Palin first accused Plaintiff off ‘being a homosexual’ in a degrading manner in front of others … she then in a magazine article blamed Plaintiff for her decision to leave Los Angeles for Alaska even though she had purchased her home in Alaska … more than two months before the encounter.”
