californication series finale showtime 'Californication' Season 7, episode 12 recap: Hank Moody finds 'Grace'

What a long, strange trip it’s been for Hank Moody. After seven seasons, “Californication” has come to an end. It’s been a weird season for Hank. He was, of course, on and off again with Karen, but he also found out he has a son and that his daughter Becca was getting married.
He also go and lost what is likely the best job of his career, writing on a TV show that ended up tanking. Much of this season was about Hank finally owning up to how immature he was and doing his best to become an adult.
Sometimes it went better than others, but he actually helped his son Levon get over many of is insecurities. He also found a measure of peace with Becca getting married. Perhaps most importantly though, Hank made the right choice at the end. He set the mother of his son off to someone who would treat her right and did whatever he could to get Karen back.
As the episode came to an end and rendition of Elton John’s “Rocket Man” played, everyone got their own little happy ending, with Hank and Karen flying cross-country together for Becca’s wedding.
As fans of the show, do you think Hank’s new found happiness is forever, though? As has been evidenced over the course of the show, he is his own worst enemy. Let yourself be heard in the poll below.

You may have seen him as a pro-shark protester in "Sharknado 3." His eventual memoir will be called "You're Wrong, Here's Why..." TV words to live by: "I'm a firm believer that sometimes it's right to do the wrong thing."
