calvin harris highest paid dj Calvin Harris dethrones Tiesto as Forbes' highest paid DJ

Calvin Harris has had quite the lucrative year. The DJ/producer is officially the highest-paid DJ in the world, according to Forbes’ latest rankings. Not only did he dethrone the previous top-earner Tiesto, but he rose to the number one spot after not even being featured on 2012’s highest-paid list.

The other top 12 (Forbes expanded this year’s list from 10 to 12) highest-paid DJs are Swedish House Mafia, Tiesto, Avicii, Deamau5, Skrillex, David Guetta, Armin Van Buuren, Kaskade, Steve Aoki, Diplo, and “Jersey Shore” alum Pauly D.

Harris tops the list with a $46 million salary — which is actually more than the 2012 earnings of stars Jay Z, Katy Perry, and Beyonce. The 29-year-old DJ also earned eight Top 10 hits in the U.K. with tracks “I Need Your Love” featuring Ellie Goulding, “We Found Love” featuring Rihanna, and “Let’s Go” featuring Ne-Yo.
