carson daly alec baldwin nbc gi Carson Daly's 'Last Call' renewed: No late night for Alec Baldwin yet

Hope you weren’t too excited at the possibility of a late night talk show for Alec Baldwin, because it doesn’t look to be in the cards right now. The network announced Wednesday that “Last Call” will stick around for at least one more year with Carson Daly hosting, THR reports.
A report on Wednesday (April 9) brought up the possibility of Baldwin getting his own talk show, with “30 Rock” over. A source said NBC wanted Baldwin to join their late night family, with him most likely taking over the “Last Call” slot at 1:35 a.m.
The renewed “Last Call” will be going into it’s 13th season, after beginning in 2002. In 2009, the show changed its format, adopting a documentary style that has Carson interviewing guests around Los Angeles, mixed with live musical performances. “I’m extremely proud of what we’ve accomplished with ‘Last Call,'” Daly says, “I love coming to work every day and having the opportunity to collaborate with this incredible team.” Daly is also the host of NBC’s singing competition, “The Voice.”
