Franklangella_290 Frank Langella knows greed is good, and he wants Shia LaBeouf to know it too.

Langella has signed on to play The Beef’s mentor in “Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps,” according to Variety. The sequel to the 1987 movie — in which Michael Douglas‘ Gordon Gekko declared “greed is good” — will be directed by Oliver Stone.

Douglas will reunite for “Wall Street 2” with Stone, who also directed the first film.

Is it such a great idea to put Tara Reid, who not so long ago did a stint in rehab, in charge of a bar? The folks behind indie comedy “Last Call” think so, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Reid has signed on for a role in the film about family members coming together to sling booze.

Shooting is under way in Los Angeles.

Four new Wolverines are ready to take on homeland security for the “Red Dawn” remake. THR names Josh Hutcherson, Isabel Lucas, Connor Cruise and Edwin Hodge as the freedom fighters in a remake of the 1984 actioner.

Hutcherson will play techie Robert; Lucas, a cheerleader; Hodge, the big man on campus; and Cruise — yes, son of Tom and Nicole Kidman — will play the mayor’s son.

Filming begins next month in Detroit.
