Missyperegrym_reaper_290 “Reaper” star Missy Peregrym will continue fighting evil, albeit in human form.

Peregrym has landed a lead role in the Canadian drama “Copper,” which will air on ABC in the United States. The show follows a group of rookie police officers in their first days on the job, and is being pitched as a cop-show version of “Grey’s Anatomy.”

If that’s the case, Peregrym will likely be the Meredith of the group. According to The Hollywood Reporter, here character is the daughter of a homicide detective who’s just graduated from the academy. The show begins filming in Toronto soon; there’s no word on when it will air on ABC.

Lea Thompson is set to play a former rock star in a pilot — now the project just needs to find a place to air.

Thompson and her “Some Kind of Wonderful” director, Howard Deutch, are teaming up for a project titled “A Town Called Malice,” the HR says. The “Caroline in the City” star will play a one-time rock star who takes her teenage daughter back to her hometown when her husband, also a musician, has a meltdown on stage.

“Moonlight” and “Millennium” veterans Erin Maher and Kay Reindl are writing the pilot. Production company Elevate Entertainment will try to give it a home on television.

FOX’s “24” has added British actor T.J. Ramini to the season eight cast, the HR notes.

Ramini, who guested on “Desperate Housewives” last season and starred in the U.K. cop show “The Bill” for several years, will have a recurring part as an associate of Anil Kapoor’s character, a Middle Eastern leader in New York to address the United Nations.
