CBS is finally putting some of its shows on Hulu — just not the current ones.
The network and the video-streaming site have struck a deal that will bring shows from the CBS library to Hulu’s subscription service, Hulu Plus, starting in January. Users will be able to watch classics like “Star Trek,” “The Twilight Zone” and “I Love Lucy” along with more recent shows like “CSI: Miami” and “Medium.”
Some episodes will also rotate through the free Hulu service. The deal will also bring same-day clips from “Entertainment Tonight” from CBS’ syndication division to Hulu and Hulu Plus.
CBS is the only one of the five English-language broadcast networks that doesn’t offer its current shows to Hulu users, although content it produces for The CW does stream on the site.
More titles from the CBS library will be announced closer to their launch date on Hulu Plus.
