andy cohen ice bucket challenge bravo Watch 128 celebrities take the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, from Ben Affleck to Jared Padalecki

UPDATED: Now with more celebrities who have taken the plunge!
If you have a presence on social media, chances are you probably saw some of the people you follow dumping buckets of ice water over their head and challenging others to do the same. The movement is to raise money for the ALS Association, a nonprofit organization that raises funds and awareness for research about Lou Gehrig’s disease.
The Ice Bucket Challenge has paid off, raising $11.4 million since July 29 as of Aug. 16. The general idea is that either you accept the challenge or donate $100 to the ALS Association — though of course it makes sense to donate regardless of whether you dump ice on your head or not. The movement has raised close to seven times the amount of money the ALS Association brought in during the same time frame in 2013.
Originally kicked off by 29-year-old ALS patient Peter Frates in Boston, Mass. when he asked his friends and family to take the challenge, the Ice Bucket Challenge has since attracted the attention of some of the biggest names in Hollywood. Take a look at those who have taken the plunge below, and find out how you can donate to the ALS Association here.
