channing tatum magic mike shirtless Channing Tatum denies stealing his 'Magic Mike' stripper moves“Magic Mike” star Channing Tatum is denying allegations that he ripped off some dance moves from his former stripper co-workers at a Florida bar. In fact, he says the same guys making the claims have been trying to “make money off me since I got into this business.”

“Look, there’s nothing that’s factual in this whole movie other than that I was an 18-year-old kid and went into this world and I dropped out of college from playing football and was living on my sister’s couch,” Tatum tells the Hollywood Reporter. “There’s not one character that I took from my real life; this is just a world that I went into, and I had a perspective on. And we created everything from a fictional place.”

Tatum’s former co-workers, male dancers Thomas “Awesome” Austin and London Steele, tell TMZ that the actor basically lifted their signature moves for the film and is even using some of their experiences as plot points.

In other semi-naked Channing Tatum news, on Monday (June 25) this photo (at right) of the actor hit Twitter. It was allegedly shot back in Tatum’s actual stripper days. We’re 85 percent sure it’s him. Just kind of block out the eyebrow piercings and bad skin.

Still haven’t had enough? Then you’ll want to watch this video — unearthed by TMZ — of a young Tatum stripping along to the Village People’s “YMCA.” Oh, and getting the moves wrong. Doh.

“Magic Mike” opens on Friday, June 29, and co-stars Matthew McConaughey, “True Blood’s” Joe Manganiello and “Whilte Collar’s” Matt Bomer.
