rob lowe john stamos Charlie Sheen endorses Rob Lowe (and John Stamos) for 'Two and a Half Men'Charlie Sheen seems to be moving into the acceptance phase of dealing with his firing from “Two and a Half Men.” He’s even given the thumbs-up to two of his rumored replacements.

In a pair of radio interviews Wednesday (March 9), Sheen says he’s cool with the idea of either Rob Lowe — whose name has popped up in the past couple days — or John Stamos, whom Sheen had previously criticized, as possible replacements for him on “Men.”

“I think they’re both fabulous,” Sheen told Dan Patrick on his show. “And my apologies to John. I was rude to him earlier, John Stamos. That was unnecessary. And Rob’s an old friend, a brilliant actor, a beautiful man.”

He also called Lowe “a beautiful man” in an interview on L.A. radio station K-EARTH, adding that “I hope he does it and kicks its ass because I still get [paid].” Sheen contends that a clause in his “Two and a Half Men” contract calls for him to keep drawing a salary for as long as the show is on, even if he’s not part of it.

He also has some advice for Stamos/Lowe/whoever replaces him: “Make it their own,” he told Patrick. “Don’t think about anything I’ve done brilliantly on the show for 177,000 episodes. But I would just tell them make it your own.”

Stamos has tweeted that he’s not up for the job. The show’s producers have reportedly reached out to Lowe’s agent, but he’s also under contract to NBC’s “Parks and Recreation.”
