tvfashw207.jpgTo give you an idea of how curvaceous Nadia Bjorlin is, she’s been talked about as a natural to play Wonder Woman. Bjorlin, Chloe on the NBC soap Days of our Lives, bears a striking resemblance to the comic book heroine.

Chloe, however, wears far more than a strapless leotard and boots. “She is definitely not off the rack,” Bjorlin says of the character she describes as well tailored. “Sometimes you think it is so easy. Everything always needs to be altered. It’s also because I have a womanly figure.”
Jayne Marie Kehoe, costume designer for the show, describes Chloe’s look in one word: “shapely.”

“Most of her stuff ends up looking so fabulous because of alterations,” Kehoe says. “We have a seamstress that comes in. I usually do the fittings with her.”

Kehoe strives for “a more sophisticated, finished look” for Chloe, a former opera singer who eschews jeans and T-shirts. Kehoe shops for Chloe at Nordstrom. “They carry a lot of different spectrums (such as) the inexpensive Brass Plum, and I can go in there and get Catherine Malandrino,” Kehoe says. “I do a lot of Rebecca Taylor on Nadia. Another great label on her is Black Halo. She is almost always in dresses. Camerawise it is such a great look on her.”

She also favors Nanette Lepore dresses.

Kehoe, who like most of us had her wardrobe budget tightened, seeks bargains. She shops at Loehmann’s and Nordstrom Rack and outlet stores for Saks, Neiman Marcus and Barneys. She also shops at Macy’s and Bloomingdales.

Often, Chloe is in more expensive clothes, but Kehoe says she peruses BCBG, Guess, Marciano and Armani Exchange for more casual attire.

In the summer, Kehoe uses Aqua VI for tops.

The cast was about to fly to Detroit for a black-tie function tied to the auto industry. For that, Kehoe shopped at Neiman Marcus.

Though Chloe usually wears dresses, for the occasional pair of trousers she wears David Rodriguez and Trina Turk.

Chloe always wears solids, and her palette tends toward blues or greens to bring out her eyes. Kehoe also likes dressing her in hot pink and purple.

Though Bjorlin loves shoes and wears Miu Miu, and Kehoe just bought her Louboutins for the Detroit trip, Kehoe also finds knockoffs of designer shoes at Off Broadway Shoes.

Anyone can adopt Chloe’s look, Kehoe says.

“The major thing is not so much the high-priced items,” she says “It’s the checked fit, the alterations. I can take an inexpensive dress off the rack and have it tailored to look like a $500 dress. It’s
