Chris Brown was sentenced Tuesday to five years' probation and six months' community labor at the Commonwealth Catholic Charities in Richmond, Va., where he must also take a 52-week domestic violence course.

So much for that well-rehearsed video apology. Guess the judge didn't buy it.

Is this tough sentence because of the two other violent altercations between the singer and his then-girlfriend Rihanna reported by The Times?

According to TMZ, Brown — who pleaded guilty to felony assault — must stay 100 yards away from Rihanna for five years. Unless they are both at an entertainment-related event. Then it's reduced to 10 yards. The price of celebrity.

Brown must also keep in touch with the probation department and can be subjected to search and seizure for the next five years. He also can't own any dangerous weapons, including guns or knives.

Brown must pay $2,500 in restitution and another $2,500 in probation expenses. He also can’t leave the country without court approval.

Is this enough? Or too much? Tell us!

BTW: After sentencing, Chris Brown didn't go to Disneyland but he was out dancing like Michael Jackson.
