chris brown charged hit and run gi Chris Brown proclaims hit and run innocence after being charged

Chris Brown does not appreciate being labeled at fault for a Los Angeles hit-and-run. After news broke that he was charged for the crime and could potentially face years in prison, the musician took to Twitter to defend himself.

“I have a valid drivers license and I gave the woman the right info. She saw cameras and wanted to make a scene,” he tweets. “She contacted the cops thinking of a payday from Chris Brown when I followed the proper procedures. … My lawyers will be contacting you. I will not stand for this bullying and yellow journalism!”

He continues, “My profile pic [below] is the pic I took of the persons car after “the hit and run”. NO damage. Just a dirty car.once again, I gotta clear my name … I work my a** off to provide for my entire family. I’ve made mistakes in the past and have worked hard to be a better person. … 19-24 years of age. I don’t have all the answers and you can’t show me a person that age who has it figured out.We live and grow.Let me live.”

According to the initial arrest report, Brown was charged with driving without a license and leaving a scene of an accident without exchanging proper information. The claim says that Brown refused to give the woman whose car he hit his license number and then proceeded to provide fake insurance information as well. If a judge finds him guilty, he could face six months in jail for each charge. He’s also looking at a maximum of four years in prison if a judge deems he broke the law and thus his probation.
