Chris Tucker got the 2013 BET Awards off on the right foot with his opening monologue. Not only did he serve as an excellent host for the awards show, he also made sure to specify to Miguel that there would be no stage jumping. Thank goodness!

It’s nice to see Tucker becoming such a big part of the Hollywood scene once again. After taking an extended break from the film and comedy scene, Tucker returned to stand-up comedy in 2011 and then starred in 2012’s “Silver Linings Playbook.” Hopefully he’ll start hosting more awards shows after doing such a good job at this one.
