chuck aisle of terror 320 'Chuck' preview: Halloween forces Chuck to face his fears and his mom“Chuck” celebrates Halloween on Monday (Oct. 25) with a frightening glimpse into the mind of Jeff Barnes, a guest turn by Freddy Krueger himself — and, oh yeah, a Bartowski family reunion.

“Chuck vs. the Aisle of Terror” dives deep into the story of Chuck’s mom, Mary (Linda Hamilton), but there’s also a good bit of fun to be had. Here are five things to watch for come 8 p.m. ET Monday.

Moms everywhere. You’ll learn quite a bit about what Mary Bartowski has been up to since she left Chuck (Zachary Levi) and Ellie (Sarah Lancaster) when they were kids. But she’s not the only mom you’ll see: Morgan Fairchild also returns as Awesome’s (Ryan McPartlin) mom, Honey, who’s in town to check up on her granddaughter-to-be. Ellie’s just thrilled.

A nightmare on Buy More Street. Robert Englund, the original Freddy Krueger, guests as a scientist who’s developed a fear-inducing toxin that Volkoff is looking to buy. He’s both frightening and funny in the role, as you’d expect from one of the icons of horror films.

Step into the Aisle of Terror. The episode gets its title from part of Jeff (Scott Krinsky) and Lester’s (Vik Sahay) efforts to decorate the Buy More for Halloween. You can see a bit of what they came up with in the second of the two video clips below, but we don’t want to spoil just how absurd (and, in its own way, scary) it is.

“We put everything we have into it,” Sahay says of the Aisle of Terror. He adds that because of their very conscientious work at decorating the store, “There is yet again instance where their worlds crossover into the [spy] world. So it’s not a sort of purely separate venture that this task takes on.”

Morgan Grimes is “The Magnet.” After last week’s gold mine of Morgan-Casey interaction, Joshua Gomez and Adam Baldwin have several more scenes together. Casey begins to see more of Morgan’s usefulness in the spy game, and he gives the bearded one a special mission this week.

Another big ending. Last week’s final scene, with Chuck getting a call from mom, packed a pretty big punch. This week’s easily tops it.

Below is a teaser for the episode and some interviews with the cast about the Aisle of Terror.
