It’s not just ABC sitcoms or prom dress designers who have recognized the overwhelming popularity of A&E’s hit reality show, “Duck Dynasty” as Season 4 approaches. This weekend, the bearded ones make their debut on the hood of a race car at the Nascar Sprint Cup Series race at Watkins Glen.
Driver Clint Bowyer is debuting the “Duck Dynasty”-themed car Sunday (Aug. 11) on his No. 15 Peak Toyota for Michael Waltrip Racing. The hood of the car features the faces of Duck Commander CEO Willie Robertson, his father and family patriarch, Phil Robertson, brother Jase and Uncle Si. Bowyer tweeted a photo of the hood with the caption, “If this don’t scare the competition, I don’t know what will.”
If you’re digging the look of No. 15, Lionel Racing, The Official Die-cast of Nascar, is making sure you have a chance to take home a 1:24 scale version of the car for yourself.
Fans can either pre-order the die-cast, which comes with a “Duck Dynasty”-approved American flag bandana — some are even autographed by Bowyer himself — or you can upload photos of the car to Twitter, Facebook or Instagram with the hashtag #diecastduckhunt to be entered to win a die-cast.
If you don’t happen to be in New York for the race, not to worry: The folks at Lionel are fine with you sending pics of the car on your TV screen. Check out Lionel Racing’s website for more details before you cheer Clint on the track.
