Usually Martina McBride, with her soaring vocals, takes on the slow, enormous ballads like “O Holy Night,” which last year during CMA Country Christmas made us a cry a little. But this year, we were delighted to hear her do “Please Come Home for Christmas,” which is one of our favorite holiday songs and doesn’t get that much play. (We also always mistakenly refer to it as “Bells Will Be Ringing.”)

We love the Eagles version, but Martina just nailed this one. We are going to download this post haste. Did you love it as much as we did?

It’s on the album “The Country Christmas Collection with Colonial Candles,” which now we’re fairly interested in buying, because it also features Reba McIntire “I’ll Be Home For Christmas”, The Band Perry “Santa Claus
Is Coming To Town”; Rascal Flatts “Mary Did You Know?”; Eli Young Band “Wonderful
Christmastime”; Edens Edge “O Holy Night”; Justin Moore “Run Rudolph
Run”; Steel Magnolia “It’s Christmas Time”; Jewel “Angels We Have Heard
On High.”

The above video is from the album, but we’ll post video from CMA Country Christmas as soon as we have it.
