carrie underwood paradise city countrys night to rock 'CMA Country's Night to Rock': Carrie Underwood's 'Paradise City' kicks things off with a bangFor “CMA Music Festival: Country’s Night to Rock,” Carrie Underwood took to the stage in her Axl Rose best and sang some “Paradise City,” which was kind of awesomely terrifying. It’s such a disconnect to hear that song without Rose’s signature screech.

That being said, we love Underwood and that was a lot of fun. She certainly gave it 110 percent — girl sounded exhausted by the end. And hey, turns out we didn’t actually know a lot of the words, so thanks for that, Carrie.

We think if they were going to have this former “American Idol” winner cover Guns ‘n Roses, she would’ve taken on some “Sweet Child O’ Mine” or “Patience.” Both of those would be awesome, right?

What did you think of Carrie Underwood’s take on “Paradise City”? Video below in case you missed it.
