CMT has canceled its first original scripted series, “Working Class,” which stars Melissa Peterman and the legendary Ed Asner. Apparently, the network announced on the show’s Facebook page, stating “Unfortunately, CMT will not be pursuing a second season of ‘Working Class.'” Reportedly, the show’s producers are shopping the show to other networks, including TVLand. “Dawson’s Creek” alum and “Life Unexpected” star Kerr Smith has been cast in this season’s final two episodes of “NCIS.” He’ll play Lt. Jonas Cobb, whose special skills help identify the Port-to-Port killer. [TV Guide]
After four seasons as “Wipeout’s” host, Jill Wagner will soon abandon her post at the ABC show. She’ll stay on for the summer episodes before leaving to pursue her acting career. [TV Guide]
