buffy season 9 comic book Comic Con 2011: Saturday brings Joss Whedon, 'Vampire Diaries,' 'Chuck' and more

Do you have a paper bag? Are you breathing into it? Perfect. Please continue reading.

With the Thursday (July 21) and Friday (July 22) schedules already locked in, Comic-Con has released the list of events for Saturday (July 23). And if you weren’t overwhelmed before, you probably are now.

But in the best way possible, of course. Saturday includes television panels and screenings for “Chuck,” “Futurama,” “Community,” “Fringe” and “The Vampire Diaries.” As for new series, “Terra Nova,” “Grimm,” “Alcatraz,” “Charlie’s Angels” and “The Secret Circle” will all have a presence.

Still, we’ve got to say we’re most excited for Dark Horse Comics’ Joss Whedon event. The “Avengers” director and geek god will be on hand to talk about the upcoming Season 9 comic continuation of his beloved “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” — and make grown men weep.
