The surprise appearances keep on coming at Comic-Con 2013. The latest to drive the fans into a frenzy? The entire cast of the upcoming “X-Men: Days of Future Past” showed up at Fox’s panel, accompanied by director Bryan Singer.
After Hugh Jackman presented his upcoming “The Wolverine,” he started off the fun by welcoming original “X-Men” director Bryan to the stage, who drove the crown wild with a 3D sizzle reel of the film, which is still in production. In the clip, Patrick Stewart‘s Professor X and Ian McKellen‘s Magneto appeal to Wolverine to go back in time to convince their younger selves (James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender, respectively) to change their actions that ultimately lead to a mutant war against humanity.
As if that wasn’t more than enough, Singer introduced a laundry list of cast members, including Stewart, McKellen, Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Ellen Page, Halle Berry, Anna Paquin, Omar Sy and Peter Dinklage.
Among the highlights of having such an enormous cast on stage, McKellen had the crowd in stitches when he remarked he’d returned to Comic-Con because “you struck down Proposition 8, and now I am looking for a husband, so hello Michael Fassbender.”
