Little known fact: A small group of media outlets visited the set of “Community” last year and there was a tremendous amount of farting jokes being made. We bring this up, because that conversation suddenly feels very prescient.
The NBC show’s executive producer Dan Harmon tweeted a script page with Annie (played by Alison Brie) and Britta (Gillian Jacobs) full on talking about and engaging in the act of farting.
They weren’t alone in their merry-making. There was also a character named “Twilight.” And there were some extra elements like a little anti-government sentiment and a huge explosion that, you guessed it, farts, included in the scene supposedly to be shot Monday (Feb. 14).
Check out the script page in question below:
Uptight viewers, guys who’d rather not see the beautiful actresses fart, government sympathizers, and all you “Twilight” werewolf-loving fans, calm down.
Sources close to the production tell us it’s not a real script page. Well, to quote them exactly, they told us, “Um, Gah-duh.” It was just meant to be a joke (a hilarious one) between Harmon and this week’s director, Jay Chandrasekhar (who has also directed episodes of “Chuck” and “Blue Mountain State”).
That doesn’t mean this scene shouldn’t be strongly considered for a future episode. Make it happen, NBC.
