“Community” is going to have a puppet episode. And why not? The show has already used animation (stop-motion and anime) as well as a video game to tell its stories. Using puppets in this week’s episode, “Intro to Felt Surrogacy” is a perfectly logical next step — within the pseudo-logic of “Community,” that is.

Check out these two videos to preview the puppets in action.

The first of the videos is a bit of a teaser promo. In it, the study group sits around a fire — as puppets, of course — as Britta (a puppet looking like Gillian Jacobs) comments on the softness of Annie’s (a puppet looking like Alison Brie) fake skin. There is probably a context of some sort for this. But don’t look for it in the video.

Up next is a video that features Pierce (a puppet looking like Chevy Chase) confessing — in song — a deep, dark secret.

If you don’t understand why this confession is so important, you should probably go watch Season 3’s “Remedial Chaos Theory.” Actually, you should go watch that episode anyway. It’s really good.

“Intro to Felt Surrogacy” airs Thursday, April 11 at 8pm on NBC.
