Brooke Burke, the seventh-season champion of “Dancing With the Stars,” has won more than a disco ball trophy from the show.
The TV personality has landed the coveted role of co-host on the show,
Tom Bergeron announced on “Good Morning America” Monday (March 8).
Burke herself posted on her Twitter feed, “I’m so excited to be returning to the DWTS family.”
She’s stepping into the backstage spot left by Samantha Harris. In
February, Zap2it previously reported the Burke was a finalist for the
position, along with “The Bachelor” woman scorned Melissa Rycroft.
Burke is a good choice considering her background in front of the camera. She’s hosted the travel series “Wild On!” and both “Rock Star: INXS” and “Rock Star: Supernove.” As a winner on the show, she’ll have a unique insight into what the contestants are enduring.
The 10th season of “Dancing With the Stars” debuts on Monday, March 22 on ABC.
