Corbin and Karina – Contemporary – Dancing with… by televisionpromos

Karina Smirnoff took on her first contemporary dance ever on “Dancing With the Stars” with Corbin Bleu, a Disney Channel kid who is a bit of a ringer. Their dance was spectacular. It looked a lot like something you’d see on “So You Think You Can Dance.”

The judges agreed, with Carrie Ann saying, “Beautiful and passionate, Karina. Well done for your first contemporary ever. Beautiful choreography.” Len says the standard has been set, while Bruno says, “You can cut the mustard, I’ll tell you that.”

They sure set the bar high in Week 1, earning some well-deserved 8s from the judges for a 24. That probably could’ve been higher, but the judges don’t want to get too high on Week 1.

Did you love it, “DWTS” fans?
