roshon gladys dancing with the stars 'Dancing With the Stars': Gladys Knight and Roshon Fegan duel in the bottom 2It wasn’t terribly surprising that Roshon Fegan and Gladys Knight and their respective partners landed in the bottom two on the “Dancing With the Stars” Motown Week results show considering they had the lowest two scores on the leaderboard. So, which “DWTS” celeb went home?

Fegan and partner Chelsie Hightower and Knight and partner Tristan MacManus landed in the night’s Dance Duel — really, did anyone think Maria Menounos or Melissa Gilbert were going to be at risk of elimination? — and showed off their best jive during the competition.

Although Knight tried her hardest, she couldn’t match Fegan’s youthful energy and the judges ended up sending her home. Carrie Ann Inaba wanted to save her, but she was outvoted. It seems strangely fitting that Knight would leave during the week that honored the musical genre she helped pioneer.

“It’s been absolutely extraordinary,” she graciously tells Brooke Burke Charvet of her experience. “I love them all,” she says of her competitors. “I wish them the best.”

Instead of a last dance, she heads over to her competitors for a tearful group hug while the house band launches into her hit “Midnight Train to Georgia.”

Another highlight of the Motown Week results show: The AT&T Spotlight Performance from 17-year-old ballerina Michaela DePrince, who was adopted from West Africa after her father was murdered and her mom starved to death. Now, she’s a student at the American Ballet Theater. Her routine during Natasha Bedingfield‘s performance of “Wild Horses” was truly inspiring stuff. Best wishes for a long and fruitful career.

Did the right person go home? Would you have saved Knight or Fegan?
