For the semi-finals on “Dancing With the Stars,” Katherine Jenkins and partner Mark Ballas took on the quickstep and salsa. Katherine’s quickstep got a good score (29), but her salsa got the lowest score of the night (27), which landed her at the bottom of the leaderboard.

We can see what the judges saw on the salsa – she’s such a good hold dancer, but sometimes the more loosey-goosey dances aren’t as good for Katherine and that was the case here. It wasn’t bad, by any means, but this is the semi-finals and the competition this year is incredibly tough. Also, the choreography was really weird, which is Ballas’ fault.

Her quickstep, however, was great. Maybe our favorite dance she’s ever done. Our only quibble was we would’ve liked to see more facial expressions beyond the ones in the middle section that were obviously choreographed.

Do you think Katherine’s fans will rally around her to make up for the judges’ scores? Or do you think Katherine’s time has come on “DWTS”? Does she have your votes tonight?
