For the semi-finals on “Dancing With the Stars,” Maria Menounos and partner Derek Hough tackled the Argentine tango and the jive and both were spectacular. The judges almost gave Maria two perfect scores, but her jive got a 9 from Len Goodman.

The Argentine tango really was perfect. It was amazing. We completely agree with Carrie Ann in re: Maria’s time on the show, “The journey and the transformation you have undergone.” It’s really remarkable. Though we aren’t sure we need to hear about Carrie Ann spreading her legs under the table. Heh.

As for the jive, the Latin beat to the song was a quibble. We prefer the swing beats on jive dances, but that’s personal taste. What we don’t like is that we didn’t think this jive was as good as Donald Driver’s last week, so perhaps she was over-scored? Or more likely, Donald was under-scored. He really was.

What did you think, “DWTS” fans? Did Maria deserve her near-perfect night?
