Popular Train and Elvis tunes provided the musical entertainment during Tuesday’s (May 4) “Dancing With the Stars” elimination show.
Train took the stage first for his current hit “Hey, Soul Sister.” Six pros coupled up to dance as lead singer Pat Monahan belted it out to the single, which is currently perched at No. 3 on Billboard’s Hot 100 and USA Today’s top 40 airplay chart.
The next musical number was set to Elvis’ “Blue Suede Shoes.” Around twenty dancers did about half dancing and half impressive acrobatics (at times it felt like one of those televised cheerleading competitions) — and describing the routine as high-energy doesn’t even begin to do it justice.
Train sang their classic “Drops of Jupiter” for their second and final number while pros Karina Smirnoff and Louis Van Amstel danced.
