daniel radcliffe harry potters father gi Daniel Radcliffe open to playing Harry Potter's father

Would Danielle Radcliffe return to the “Harry Potter” universe? It sounds like he just might, if the right opportunity comes along. What exactly that opportunity is seems to be a little confusing, though.
In an interview with Time Out in the U.K.(via The Wrap), Radcliffe says that should J.K. Rowling write a sequel to the “Harry Potter” series, a possible appearance isn’t out of the question. “No more schoolboy stuff,” he warns. Instead, he has another idea in mind. “A cameo as Harry’s dad? That would be perfect!”
That’s where things get a bit confusing. Harry’s dad, James Potter, is dead at the start of the series. In fact, he died when Harry was a baby. Furthermore, three separate actors have already played the character at various stages in his life. Alfie McIlwain played the child version, Robbie Jarvis was the teenage incarnation and Adrian Rawlins was James as an adult.
How an appearance by the character would fit into the story is very unclear, as is why Radcliffe would play the character. Perhaps he meant a cameo as Harry, who is a dad based on the epilogue to “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2.” A new series centered around the children of Harry Potter, as they go through Hogwarts, has some potential.
When promoting her latest novel, “The Casual Vacancy,” Rowling made sure she didn’t close the door on more Harry Potter. She even talked about a couple books she would like to spend more time on, possibly giving them a “director’s cut” treatment.
