drew goddard getty daredevil 'Daredevil': Drew Goddard leaves Netflix's Marvel seriesOn the heels of Edgar Wright departing as director of the Marvel “Ant-Man” movie, it would seem another big name has left another Marvel project.

Latino Review is reporting that multiple sources say Drew Goddard has left “Daredevil,” the 13-episode Marvel series slated to premiering on Netflix in 2015. Goddard, of “Cabin in the Woods,” “Lost” and “Alias,” was set to write and direct the “Daredevil” pilot episode and then serve as showrunner and executive producer for the series.

Currently, the Marvel TV-verse includes the currently on-air “Agents of SHIELD” and the upcoming “Agent Carter,” both on ABC. In the coming years, Netflix will be launching several series based on the Hell’s Kitchen characters of Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist.

UPDATE: Steven DeKnight (“Spartacus”) has replaced Goddard as showrunner for “Daredevil,” but Goddard will stay on as a consultant, according to THR.
