Dave Levey proved to be such a talented cook on “Hell’s Kitchen” this season, he won the competition with one arm tied behind his back.
More or less, anyway. Levey, who competed for most of the season with a cast on his wrist, was crowned the winner of “Hell’s Kitchen” season six in Tuesday’s two-hour finale. He bested Kevin Cottle in the final challenge, which had the two chefs working with eliminated contestants on a final dinner service.
As his prize, Levey will become head chef at Araxi restaurant in Whistler, B.C., where he’ll get to show off his skills to visitors for the 2010 Winter Olympics.
Host Gordon Ramsay said that based on the diners’ comment cards from the final service, it was the closest “Hell’s Kitchen” finale ever. In the end, though, he chose Levey, who also emerged as the winner of the final two cooking challenges.
