glee dianna agron quinn finn cory monteith tribute fox Dianna Agron: Did 'Glee' keep Quinn out of the Cory Monteith tribute

Dianna Agron will not be in Thursday’s “Glee” tribute to the late Cory Monteith. The big question is: Why? According to one report, Lea Michele and Ryan Murphy are keeping her away. According to another, it may not be Agron’s choice.

The first of the reports comes from Radar Online and claims that people at “Glee” dislike Agron. As a result, she was not welcome for this week’s “The Quarterback,” the episode set to pay tribute to Monteith and his character of Finn Hudson.

“It’s shocking, because even though she’s not contracted for this season, many other actors returned to pay tribute to Cory … even ones with less of a story connection to Finn than Dianna had!” a source told Radar Online. “Remember, she played his girlfriend on the series and was a major part of his storyline.”

At one point, Quinn and Finn — a long-time couple when the series began — were supposedly expecting a child together (the baby turned out to be Puck’s).

So why, according to this source, is Agron not in the show? That would be because Lea Michele and Ryan Murphy “intensely dislike Dianna and have both worked to marginalize her as much as possible.”

“They simply did not want her sharing the glory for this very special episode,” the source added.

A completely different story comes from another source at “Glee,” quoted in an article from E!Online. That source explains that Dianna Agron “is still very much a part of the ‘Glee’ family and always welcome.” A second source mentioned in the report seconded this opinion.

As proof that all is good between Agron and “Glee,” it was pointed out that the actress was a part of the private memorial service held for Monteith back in July. About 160 people were at the event, held on the Paramount Studios lot.

Dianna Agron herself has made little comment on the situation, other than to say she had not been asked back and did not know why.

The full reasons may remain a mystery.

Whatever the case, the Cory Monteith tribute on “Glee” airs Thursday, Oct. 10 at 9 p.m. on FOX.
