Is there a curse word in this NYC Calvin Klein ad?
CK has never shied away from controversy – in 1980 15-year-old Brooke Sheilds made a splash with her “nothing comes between me and my Calvins” campaign, and they haven’t looked back since.
The latest scandal involves the billboard above. Model Lara Stone appears on the ad, which may or may not spell out the F-word. Can you see it? Angry New Yorkers believe the table in the background, the model’s underwear, and the “CK” logo are sending a subliminal message.
Did you see it when you first looked at the pic?
Passers-by expressed their outrage to CBS News. “It’s subliminal messaging. I don’t think it’s healthy or good for anyone, not even just young kids,” Said one potential customer.
What do you think, Zap2it readers? Was the message intentional, or do we only have our own dirty minds to blame?
