Finally, a longtime dream of “Doctor Who” fans is coming true. Everyone’s favorite Time Lord is getting his own LEGO set. The BBC and LEGO have come to a licensing agreement that will see a set based on a fan creation released.
Whovian and LEGO enthusiast Andrew Clark submitted his custom built “Doctor Who” set — which includes the TARDIS, several Doctors and companions, and some of the show’s iconic villains — to the LEGO Ideas website, where it garnered the 10,000 fan votes requited for consideration. Now the company gets to work on adapting Clark’s model for mass production. While the above image isn’t the final design, Clark spared no detail when building his dream set.
There’s no release date yet for the “Doctor Who” set, but LEGO says there’s one based on “Wall-E” on the way, as well.
