So it shouldn’t be much of a surprise, after the same-day airing of the 2010 “Doctor Who” Christmas special in both the U.S. and the U.K., BBC America will premiere Season 6 of the series on the same day as Brits as well.
As EW first reported, new “Who” will be on the tube Saturday, April 23, at 9 p.m ET. And the season kicks off with the highly anticipated two-parter in 1960s Utah, the first the series has ever filmed on U.S. soil.
This means that fans can count on not just the Doctor (Matt Smith), Amy (Karen Gillan) and Rory (Arthur Darvill) in the premiere, we’ll also get the return of the increasingly present River Song (Alex Kingston).
