They had lots of extra time for the 75-minute “Doctor Who” 50th anniversary special, but that doesn’t mean things weren’t left on the cutting room floor. The BBC released a deleted scene from “The Day of the Doctor,” where Matt Smith’s 11 tries to explain why cool shoes make the man. John Hurt’s War Doctor is unimpressed. “Not since Richmond,” he says. “They haven’t drawn breath since Richmond.”
It’s from when the Doctors are in shackles, being taken to Queen Elizabeth’s dungeon. Not a hugely important scene, but a fun little bit of Doctor interaction, none the less.

Chris E. Hayner is equal parts nerd, crazy person and coffee. He watches too much TV, knows more about pro wrestling than you do and remembers every single show from the TGIF lineup. You may have seen him as a pro-shark protester in "Sharknado 3." His eventual memoir will be called "You're Wrong, Here's Why..." TV words to live by: "I'm a firm believer that sometimes it's right to do the wrong thing."
