Country Music Television has ordered 10 episodes of a new series that will star Dog and his wife Beth Chapman. The show, tentatively called “DOG,” will begin production in early 2013 and is slated for a spring or summer premiere.

The show will have a slightly different focus of “Dog the Bounty Hunter” from A&E. “DOG” will concentrate more on Dog and his wife helping other mom-and-pop bail bond agencies, particularly with untrained or incompetent bounty hunters.

Producers say the show will be “action-packed” as the pair travel the United Sates training bounty hunters while also looking for bail jumpers.

Jayson Dinsmore, Executive Vice President for Development and Programming at CMT, says, “This series is a game changer for CMT. We were aggressive in our pursuit of a show featuring Dog and Beth.”

“Dog and Beth are not only great television characters,” adds Chris Grant, CEO of Electus. “They are the best bounty hunters in the world, and this show is a natural evolution in their life story.”

Are you excited, fans of “Dog the Bounty Hunter”?
