Vanity Fair has released its annual TV issue and one of the cover girls is “Downton Abbey” star Michelle Dockery. In the above behind-the-scenes interview video, she talks about her favorite TV shows and when she knew “Downton” was a hit.

“I was sitting in a tea shop in New York in Greenwich Village and the couple next to me were talking about ‘Downton Abbey’ and they recognized me,” says Dockery.

As far as her favorite shows go, one of her faves from growing up was fellow cover girl Claire Danes’ breakout hit “My So-Called Life.” Dockery also likes “Nurse Jackie” and “Mad Men,” and says she identifies with Elaine from “Seinfeld.”

We’re docking points for “Two and a Half Men,” but at least she admits it’s a “guilty pleasure.”

“Downton Abbey” returns to the U.S. in January 2013.
