robin thicke duets 'Duets': Robin Thicke's last partner voted off as Jennifer Nettles maintains her momentum
Contestant Olivia Chisolm said her good-byes on Thursday’s (July 5) episode of ABC’s “Duets,” becoming the first audience-voted cast-off following her performance last week of Beyonce’s hit “Halo” with partner Robin Thicke
“I’m just thankful that I got this far in the competition,” Chisolm tells Zap2It. “Now that the competition is actually over, I can look back on everything that I need to work on, and everything that I’ve done, and get better.”
Considering what Thicke says was his best advice to the young ingnue — “shake your booty” — the budding songstress takes with her a lot of momentum and feels she now has the world to charm and impress.
And her cohort agrees.
“She has a lot of class, a lot of humility and a lot of ambition which is a good combination,” Thicke points out. “It means she can be a good learner, and she’s a great tryer. She has the face and the body, and the voice, and now she just has to never give up.”
Following Chisolm’s departure, Thursday’s episode of the reality series took on the musical theme of old-school standards. The show featured performances of Nina Simone‘s “Feeling Good,” by an ankle-injured Kelly Clarkson and Jason Farol; Ray Charles‘ “Georgia On My Mind,” by Jennifer Nettles and John Glosson; Nat King Cole‘s “Unforgettable,” by John Legend and Bridget Carrington; and Billie Holiday’sGod Bless the Child,” by Nettles and J. Rome.
Nettles maintained her position as the one to beat — now the only star with two contestants left.
“I love it, luxury problems, baby,” the country singer says of potentially battling it out with her two partners. Their strategy, however, remains the same. “We are super-collaborative. I take into consideration what they feel will fit within their voices, and they also listen and respect when I think a song might be more meant for a show.”
As for Rome’s subtle baby reference, the mother-to-be comments on her new pregnancy:

“That was a very sweet connection…I think I’m just ready to hold it and be like, ‘Okay there you are.’ I mean the whole concept of pregnancy is pretty wild. While there are horrible things you can do to make it bad, there’s really nothing you can do to make it any better. Except you know, not doing crack or not eating crap…It’ll be good to just know everything’s okay.”
