The star-loving outlet has also ordered up a new series about a semi-famous clan: “The Lamas Family” will train cameras on former “Bachelor” winner Shayne Lamas, her dad, Lorenzo, and two siblings. Both shows will be on the air later this year.
The Kardashian spinoff will follow sisters Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian to Miami, where they’ll go to work opening a new outpost of their boutique, Dash. The
long-form Dash ad series — appropriately titled (for now, anyway) “Kourtney and Khloe in Miami” — will look in on the sisters as they design the new store and hire staff while attempting to make a mark on the Miami nightlife scene. E! exec Lisa Berger gushes that “We knew fans could not miss out on this drama-filled duo as they invade such a beautiful, vibrant and notoriously wild city as Miami.”
So there’s that. “The Lamas Family,” meanwhile, will center on Shayne, who was briefly engaged to Matt Grant following their “Bachelor” courtship last year, as she tries to keep her Hollywood career going. Her brother A.J., who’s appeared on “As the World Turns” and whom E! calls a “notorious ladies man,” is trying to do the same, while teenager Dakota is aiming for a music career.
Lorenzo Lamas and Michele Smith, the kids’ mom, will also be featured. The show comes from “Bachelor” producer Mike Fleiss, who calls the Lamases “a perfect family for reality TV.”
