British singer/songwriter Ed Sheeran, 21, is about to become a household name throughout the United States, as he embarks on Taylor Swift‘s “Red” tour as a special guest of the country superstar.
Sheeran tweets the announcement: “Happy to announce that I am special guest on @taylorswift13’s tour of North America next year, cannot wait!! … 9 stadiums and 36 arenas. Gonna be bonks.”
Swift fans may already be familiar with Sheeran and not even know it. The U.K. star co-wrote and sings with Swifty on “Everything Has Changed,” the 14th track off “Red.” During a webchat back in August, Swift said of Sheeran, “We wrote a song while sitting on a trampoline that was so much fun we
ended up recording it as a duet-and it will be on the album.”
Sheeran also wrote the song “Moments” off One Direction’s debut album, which is their sixth best-selling single. T-Swizzle’s “Red” tour kicks off March 13, 2013 and runs through the end of September.
