“Game of Thrones” star Emilia Clarke has already stripped down on camera for the hit HBO series, but she caused a stir when she did the same on Broadway. Clarke became naked on stage during the play “Breakfast at Tiffany’s”, and the display caused attendees of the preview performance to break the strict “no photos” policy.
During the scene in question, Clarke’s Holly Golightly strips male lead Cory Michael Smith — who also goes fully nude — before he climbs into a tub. Clarke reportedly then walks offstage and comes back in a towel, dropping it before climbing into the tub herself. It was at this point that attendees started taking photos. “You don’t see everything. There are bubbles strategically placed,” a source tells The New York Post.
Of course, fans have seen everything in episodes of HBO’s “Game of Thrones.” Clarke first bared her chest and backside in the series’ pilot episode, and repeatedly then did so again during sex scenes and when her character’s dragons are born.
Still, fans were apparently so excited by the nudity reveal in “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” that they started snapping photos wildly on their cell phones, causing the Cort Theater to beef up security for future screenings. “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” officially opens on Broadway on March 20.
