emmys 2012 greenfield vergara stonestreet Emmys 2012: Who should win outstanding supporting actor and actress in a comedy series? Vote now!The Zap2It Emmy poll series is getting down to brass tacks. You’ve been weighing in on all the lead and supporting acting categories so far, and this week, we give you the last group of acting categories before we ask you to vote on the shows themselves. This week the supporting actor and actress in a comedy categories are up, and if you’re a fan of “Modern Family,” these have been your favorite categories for awhile now.

Why? Because for the second year in a row, all the adult actors on the show have been nominated in their respective supporting categories. Ty Burrell and Eric Stonestreet have already won, so it stands to reason that it could be the year for Ed O’Neill or Jesse Tyler Ferguson. Julie Bowen won in her category last year, and as hot as Sofia Vergara’s been lately, she could get the prize this year.

But there are other people in these categories, and at least a few of them have a legitimate shot at winning. Max Greenfield took his one-note character of Schmidt in “New Girl” and made him the most vulnerable douchebag on TV. Mayim Bialik has done a similarly fine job deepening Amy Farrah Fowler on “The Big Bang Theory” (you’ll hear from both of them in the coming days). Merritt Wever is the only thing that’s still funny on “Nurse Jackie,” and she should have gotten a nomination sooner. Kristen Wiig and Bill Hader are “SNL’s” all-purpose sluggers. And the posthumous nod to veteran character actress Kathryn Joosten of “Desperate Housewives” — who’s previously won as a guest actress — is fitting tribute to her career.

Who do you think will bring home the Emmy? Vote in the poll below. The 64th annual Primetime Emmys, hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, air live at 8 p.m. ET Sept. 23 on ABC.
