idris elba luther emmys 2014 gi Emmys 2014: Idris Elba promises more 'Luther,' teases a movie

Though it’s been off the air for over a year, it doesn’t sound like you’ve seen the last of “Luther.” Idris Elba, who stars on the BBC series, tells TVLine that more is on the way at some point.
While walking the red carpet at the 66th annual Emmy Awards, Elba says, “It’s not over. There will be more. It’s one of those shows that could keep going.” The question is how it will continue, though. “I have ambitions to take it into a film, make it a slightly bigger world,” he says, “but I think TV’s beckoning. We’re going to do some more.”
He doesn’t say when to expect more of the show, or even a movie, but he seems pretty confident it’s going to happen. He also confirms that Alice (Ruth Wilson) will indeed return with the show.

TV words to live by: "I'm a firm believer that sometimes it's right to do the wrong thing."
